STAMPIN FRIENDS ALL ABOUT THE PAPER AUGUST BLOG HOP

I made a set of little note cards using the Stampin UP Mini Pocket Envelope Dies! This die is the perfect size for a gift card holder. It reminds me of a smaller verison of the Treat Bag die that Stampin Up had a few years ago! The Painted Christmas DSP was one of my favorite papers last year. I was so excited to see it return in the Holdiay Catalog! I stamped and punched the deer from the Peaceful Deer Stamp set and coordinating Deer Builder punch, and the greeting is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set - all returning favorites in the Annual Catalog.

I tied a little knot with some Real Red and Evening Evergreen ribbon and attached it to the dee. I cut out a piece of Basic White to 2 1/x3 1/2 and rounded all the corners, I then stamped the deer and greeting on the card. Super cute and super easy to make!

​They come together so quickly! If you needed to add a gift card, there is still plenty of room and still use the little white card to write a note! 

Since I made set of notecards! I need something to put them in! So I made a quick box. Or so I thought, I struggled a little with lid! Not sure why! It really wasn't hard to make!  I used Evening Evergreen cardstock as my based and a matching piece of Painted Christmas DSP.  Cut out a label from the Seasonal Labels dies (also returned in the Annual Catalog) and stamp the greeting in Real Red from the Christmas to Remember.

The cardstock measures 4 3/4x 6 1/4 then score at 1" on all 4 sides. Trim up on the score lines and notch a little out on each side as shown.
I used Tombo Mutlipurpose glue to adhere the tabs down.
The lid is made the same way, but the paper is 4 1/4x 5 1/2 the score at 3/4" on all sides. Cut up on the score lines and adhere! I made the lid just a smidge smaller so that it will fit snug and not fall off. And just like that the box is done!
