Thank your for joining the Stampin Friends May BLOG HOP. If you are like me and struggle with masculine cards, then you will want to be sure to follow this hop to the end! Why??? Well, this month's hop, focuses on masculine cards and projects. And let me tell, the hop is amazing and definitely has CASE written all over it.

If you came from Kim Jolley's Blog, wasn't her projects FANTASTIC???

Now, be sure to follow each blogger to see all the awesome projects that have been created and shared for you! If you get lost a long the way, there is a list of participants at the bottom of each of the blogs!

Last month, we had a giveaway, which we do from time to time! So I wanted to give a shout out to our LUCKY April Blog Hop winner! And yes, you read that correctly, Siretta won a Stamparatus!

Ok, let's get to my projects!

SOOO as many of you are aware, Stampin' Ups new Annual Catalog is just around the corner, which means, retirement of many items is upon us. The Spring Occasions catalog will retire as well, on May 31st.   So be sure to check my website for any products you want! They may not be around much longer. Need a new catalog, be sure to message me and I'll send you one right away!

The product I used is from the Occasions catalog, it is the True Gentlemen Suite. Although this suite will be retired at the end of the month, the Tailored Tag will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalog!
I used the Truly Tailored stamp set, Tailored Tag Punch, True Gentlemen DSP and  Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon. There was also buttons in the suite as well.

Now, I must admit, I have a real hard time with masculine cards, I always feel products stereotype, like tools, BBQ ties. And not every male does or uses those things. This set has grown on me, and I realized its how you use it!

So I decided to make a fancy fold card, I chose a double z-fold. There are many YouTube videos and ideas on Pinterest.

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip - measure 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4. As youc an see from picture, one fold is forward, the other is back (like and accordion style).  The 2nd z-fold is  2 3/4 x 8 1/4 scored at 2 3/4 ad 5 1/2.
Now my layers are all 1/4 smaller than each other so that is easy to figure out! The stamping is in Chocolate Chip, which I must admit, I am sad to see this color retire!!!

My project is rather simple. I was inspired by a post I saw on Pinterest. It's play on the stamp Lookin' Sharp....with a Sharpie marker....only after I made it, I realized my markers do not say Sharpie, but Bic Mark-It...Oh Well! You get the point!!!

This was very easy to make, and if you were doing a mass production for a fair or something, you can get many done in a short amount of time.

I started with DSP that measure 2x10 1/4. I punched the tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper, which is sticking around for another year, yup this punch will be in the new annual Catalog.  I guessed where I wanted the marker to sit then I ruff folded the base with folds measuring about 1/2' wide

This just allows the width of the marker to fit. At the top of the folded (dsp is the reverse pattern). I folded the paper down about 1/2" again. Then used my 1/2" circle punch to make the opening for the marker to fit in. I adhered the 1/2 tab down. Insert the marker and that's it.
I added the tag with dimensionals and the corduroy ribbon and it's that easy!

If you have any questions on how I made this, please feel free to comment or send me a message!

I hope you enjoyed the projects I have shared with you today!

Be sure to move to the next blogger below, Melissa Thomas, you are just going to love what she has shared!!

Thanks for Hopping
Happy Stampin
