We're happy to announce a new category in the Online Store: Project Ideas.
When you click on this category, it offers you a variety of project ideas to choose from (these are the same "You Can Make It" projects as seen in the annual catalog). When you click on a project, you will see all the products you need to create the project--including any necessary tools. As an added bonus, we've even included the recommended adhesives (so cool, right?). This is not only a great tool for anyone new or who are unsure of how to get started with stamping.

Therefore it is important to know in advance if you are attending. Figuring out the perfect gift for a teacher to show appreciation can be difficult. That's why I always try to do something custom. It's unique and they won't receive several of the same thing. I mean how many flowers, coffee mugs or candles do they need?
I gave my son's kindergarten teachers a framed teacher picture, personalized notecards, a notebook and some chocolate. Class members pitched in for a group gift card and we packed it in a nice basket that a fellow mom had purchased. I used Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder for colors. I used the now retired chevron ribbon in matching colors. For my daughters 2 grade teacher I made a little treat pack I saw on Pinterest using the Stampin Up retired Chevron treat bags. Filled with a small notebook, perfect for "to-do list" or making a summer bucket list, a pen, Hershey bar and a gift card. All wrapped up in pretty ribbon. Now I usually don't like to post about the retired items, but since I have a bunch on hand I wanted to use up some supplies. So the ribbon is the Blushing Bride Chevron now retired, Chalk Talk stamp also retired. I made fun cards for all, these cards showcased the new Schoolhouse DSP, Writing Notes and Tin of Cards Stamp Sets a 2 cards have some smarties YUM!

Today I decided to finally try the Gift Bag Punch Board. I ordered this during the demonstrators catalog pre-order and haven't had a chance to play. That is until today!!! You can make 3 size gift bags; small, medium and large. These sizes determine the width of the bag. You can choose the height of the bag. The depth (front to back) will remain the same for each size. Click here to see a Stampin' Up! video demonstrating the Gift Bag Punch Board. I used the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper for all the bags and Perfect Pennants Stamp Set on most. The 2 bags in the back row, from left, are Large they are both 6 inches tall by 3 3/4 wide by 2 deep. The bag in the back row to the right is Medium. This bag is 7 inches tall by 3 1/4 wide by 2 deep. In the Middle row, left, is another Medium bag. That bag is 5 inches tall by 3 1/4 wide by 2 deep. The other 2 bags, to the right and front are both the Small. The Small bag in the middle is 5 inches tall by 2 3/4 wide by 2 and the front is the same except that one is 4 inches tall. I used 3 pieces of the designers series paper to make all the bags. I was able to get 2 of large from 1 sheet, 2 medium from 1 sheet and 2 small from 1 sheet. Had I cut the small bags height to all be 4 inches, I would have been able to make 3 bags from 1 sheet of DSP. They were so fun to make and super easy! The best part is you now have a tool to make your own beautiful gift bag, even if it's last minute, rather than running to a store!! Thanks for stopping by.
