Happy #imbringingbirthdaysback Steph ![]() This weeks card club features the Botanical Builder Framelits. These cards are perfect for Sympathy and Thank You's. But they would work well for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Friends and Thinking of you. I love how just change the colors, makes a huge impact of the flowers.

This month we have creative guest Hoppers: Robyn Rasset, Kristal Bell, and Melanie Harrison Coverston Let's get started with my projects for the hop. I googled and searched Pinterest for inspiration. A lot of animals come up using the Curvy Keepsake box, but since I used the for my project last month I didn't want to use it again. But, my plan was to make a gift box into some sort of animal. My 6 year old son happened to be in the room while I was trying to figure things out and really wanted to help me with this project. He has a friend from class with an upcoming birthday. We decided to try to make a doggy box. He wants to put some treats and a gift card inside the box. I've been intimidated with the Hamburger die since I bought it. Just struggled with it each time I tried. Wasted alot of paper playing around with it, that it just got put aside and sort of forgotten. I was set on getting it to work right. I have an old big shot and for some reason it doesn't score very well on the dies. Which makes it harder to assemble. I figured out a slight wedge and it seem to work better and made the score lines more visible. Wish I thought of this a while ago. Because sadly the Hamburger Box is on the retired list boooo. My son picked out the color Chocolate Chip, I had picked out Blushing Bride, since the gift was for a girl. "But MOM dogs aren't pink, you know?" Well how do I argue with that. To make the dogs face on the box, we chose Chocolate Chip for the box base and dogs head. Blushing Bride for the tongue and Basic Black for the nose. And googly eyes!!!! I used the Oval framelits for the ears and I believe it was 1 1/2 circle punch for the face and the Heart from the Itty Bitty Punch pack. The tent card was simple to make. But it uses a 12x12 sheet of cardstock. I am sure the measurements can be adjust to just an 8 1/2x11 sheet. The cardbase measures 4 1/4 x 11 1/2. Score at 1", 2", 3" and 7 1/4". I used a circle thinlit to cut out the opening before assembling. I also cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4x4 and stamped the OH Hello from the Back to Basics Alphabet set in Basic Black. I also, stamped and sponged the sun from the Kinda Eclectic set in Daffodil Delight and adhered with a dimensional. I folded the 7 1/4 score line backwards. Then I folded the 1, 2, 3 lines back and forth. This is the part that makes the card stand. The 1 inch score line becomes the back. You adhere the the back of the card to this section. So there is a slight seam. See pictures below. I hope this makes sense. To make the dogs head for the card, I punched out 3 large ovals (cut 1 in half for the paws), 1- 1 1/2 inch circle, 2 - 1 inch circles, and 2 hearts from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. I used google eyes again, but these are slightly smaller than the box. I attached the dog to the outside edge of the circle, so he looks like he's popping off the card but peaking out as well, depends on the angle you look at it Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered in the Blog Hop raffle. Happy #imbringingbirthdaysback Steph Card club requests were for Grad cards and Mother's Day (but a card that isn't necessary specific to mom.
I used Pinterest for inspiration on the gift card holder and mom's card! The grad card was a really easy card to make. You could customize this card to match school colors. I stuck with Basic Black, Basic Gray the Neutrals DSP and WHisper White. I used stamps from B.Y.O.P and a retired set called Word Play on the inside. I created the Grad Cap using my Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge. The Mom's card was made using Mint Macaron, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White I used the stamp set A Nice Cuppa and the Cups and Kettles framelits. I embossed the Mint Macaron layer with Hearts embossing folder. I love this color combination!!!! I hope you enjoyed, thanks for checking it out Happy Stampin Steph It's that time again: we're getting ready to retire stamps and accessories from both the annual and occasions catalogs. As sad as it is to see these products go, there's still time for you to get them before they're gone. Plus, retiring products have discounts of up to 50%! Retiring products will only be available until May 31, or while supplies last, so contact me to order them before they're gone! Things to Remember
Make sure to check out the retired list here on in the document below!!! Remember don't wait for those products that have been on your wish list. Once they are gone, they are gone. Especially the In Colors. If you have a favorite color from the 2014-2016 collection, make sure to order now!!!!
I look forward to hearing from you Happy Stampin Steph Weekly Deals began to help reduce overstocked inventory. As we've reduced excess inventory, the variety of products available for Weekly Deals has decreased, making the deals less exciting, so we're replacing Weekly Deals with a less frequent but better promotion called Special Offers. These Special Offers will occur every few months as inventory allows (the goal is still to reduce overstocked inventory) with more products and discount tiers than Weekly Deals (offers may vary per market). The last sets of Weekly Deals will end on April-18.
Here are the last of the. Feel free to contact me to order any of these products! Happy Stampin Steph It’s the exciting time of year when we begin to anticipate the new Annual Stampin Up Catalog. It's coming soon! And I can't wait to share it with you. I want to update you as to what takes place as we prepare for the new catalog to launch. The easiest way to stay ontop of it is to know the dates of everything taking place. So here are the dates, as I know them, that lead up to the catalog live date, June 1st. We can not share the catalog until a certain point! So these dates will be helpful. April 14-16 is Stampin' Ups on Stage event in Salt Lake City (boo I can't attend) April 17 Demonstrators ONLY, can begin viewing the online catalog. April 18 2015-2016 Catalog retirement list is available May 3 Demonstrators ONLY can begin to pre-order from the new catalog (This includes any new recruits) May 16 Demonstrators free catalog is shipped May 31 is the last day you can order from the 2015-2016 Catalog, Retired List and Occasions Catalog (so you need to plan accordingly) June 1 Customers can start ordering from the the new catalog. Now some things we know for sure is the 2014-2016 In Colors will be among the products on the retired list. Not familiar with what In Colors are??? Well Stampin Up has 5 color categories or collections. There are 4 main ones that contain 10 different colors each: Brights, Neutral, Regals and Subtles. Then we have the 5th which is In Colors, these collections include 5 colors. The In Color collections are available for 2 years. We currently have 2 sets of In Colors: 2014-2016 and 2015-2017. The 2014-2016 In Color inks, paper, ribbon and embellishments will retire on May 31st. So if these are among some of your favorite colors to work with, you may want to consider stocking up sooner, than later. Because most know this color collection is going to retire, and they will STOCKPILE. And the products will sell out MUCH sooner than anything else. One suggestion I have if you own the ink pads, make sure you order the ink refills so you can extend the life of your ink pads. The photo below shows the colors. How do you get a new catalog you ask? Well...if you are one of my existing customers who order or attend my events on a regular basis, I will automatically send or hand you one.
If you join as a new demonstrator, you will automatically receive one, as well. If you place an order from me, minimum of $50, between now and May I will mail you one as well. Just interested in one, please contacted me directly with you address, I will send you an invoice for $5.50 from PayPal, (This is what it cost for the catalog and mailing). Upon receipt of payment I will mail one to you. I your just excited as I am about the new catalog. Hopefully this has given you a little insight on the timeframe until June 1st. I will share any new information I receive, if allowed. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Happy Stampin Steph Weekly Deals began to help reduce overstocked inventory.
