Welcome to the Stampin Friends January 2024 Blog Hop.  We have some fun cards to share with you!  It's the time of the year that I like to start making cards to have on hand.  Each January I go through special occasions dates and see if I have cards on hand to match, if I don't I make a list and begin making the cards, so I have them when the date arrives. This year I needed birthday cards!

How adorable is this card????? I love love the colors. I first came across a version of this card on Pinterest by Debbie Naylor. It has quickly become my favorite card to make! I love the layers of color. And it is sooo easy to make. 
I used products from the Bright & Beautiful Suite Collection on page 14-15 of the Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I used a combination of Berry Burst, Bubble Bath and Azure Afternoon. Tese asre 3 of the colors featured in the Bright & Beautiful 6x6 DSP pack. 
First I used Berry Burst as my cardbase. Layered with a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White. Next the DSP is 3 3/4 x 5.  

Cut a piece of Bubble Bath at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 and 2 pieces of Basic White 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and 4 x 5 1/4 And scrap piece of Basic White to stamp the balloon. Now we stamp! 
​I stamped in an assembly line. I stamped the inside card layer of Basic White, then the envelope and last top layer of the card front (2 1/2 x 3 1/2). I went from light to dark.  I started stamping in Bubble Bath with the streamer image from the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set. After stamping the streamer in all 3 places, I then stamped the ballon on the Basic White card front. Repeat the steps in Berry Burst and Azure Afternoon, except for the Balloon, stamp in Azure Afternoon on the scrap piece and cut out using the Beautiful Balloons Dies. Attach the Azure Afternoon balloon to the basic white piece with dimensionals. Stamp the ballons strings and the greeting in Tuxedo Memento Ink. Attach to the Bubble Bath cardstock and then to the cardbase using dimensionals and finished with a few Basic Rhinestones.  How fun and easy!!! 

I created a masculine version using the same Bright & Beautiful Suite. I chose the stars patterned paper on this one. I chose Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel for the color combination. Following the same steps as I did above, I stamped the inside of the card, the envelope and the card front. 

I'm so happy with how these cards turned out! They make me smile!!
